The cornerstone to empowering oneself in the spiritual sense begins with some sort of core philosophy and active participation in a spiritual practice. The choices are virtually endless. It often helps to choose one and dig deep while practicing tolerance for other belief systems.
Life can be stressful, but therapy can help. There are so many wonderful options available in our modern society. My personal favorites are therapy models that have a physical/tactile approach. Yoga, Sandplay, Somatics, and Vagal Nerve Stimulation are my favorites.
Taking care of oneself is often overlooked but extremely effective in bringing balance to a fast-paced lifestyle. If a person doesn't learn to take take of oneself, than it becomes the responsibility of others later in life. This is natural of course but it can be minimized.

These three modalities are all very similar in style & purpose. They are all designed to restore the body, mind, and spirit without excessively taxing the physical body. Proper restoration gives one more energy to perform day to day responsibilities.
The capstone of empowering the spiritual component of human embodiment lies in a deep humility to the greater intelligence of the universe. Studying, reciting, teaching, sharing, contemplating, praying, and bowing to the Supreme Source is totally essential.
